Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm … Obama’s cafeteria police.

People are finally getting the message that the brouhaha between ObamaCare and the Catholic bishops was not about contraception - even if it was part of the plan to change the political subject from Republicans against abortion to Republicans against contraception. (Anyone remember the head-scratcher debate question posed by Clinton operative George Stephanopolos to Mitt Romney?) No, the dispute was about the fundamental issue of ObamaRule: nothing can be permitted to come between the people and the government, not the Catholic Church (or any other religious movement) and certainly not parents, who have been misguided when they thought they have a role in raising their own children.

Example of the week: the brouhaha in North Carolina about the pre-schooler whose home-made lunch (Turkey sandwich and banana) was replace by a Federal Ag. Dept. worker with three chicken nuggets - which were served by the public school and therefore deemed more nutricious. (http://bit.ly/A7i2xR) And if that wasn’t enough, meet Audrey Rowe. She’s the Federal government worker who is on a nationwide tour to visit public school cafeterias and advise how to make lunches more tasty. (http://bit.ly/xGHHJa)

If this isn’t an argument for homeschooling, it’s hard to see why not.
